An Organized Schedule

Today's Challenge is all about having an organized schedule. I have tried in the past to have schedules posted for my kids. I personally follow my schedule in my head. As far as events and activities those are all posted on my calendar hanging on my fridge, in my Home Organization Binder( I will post more about this later) and of course my Cell phone.

I know sticking to the same schedule/routine is very important for adults and kids. It makes for a less stressful day, week, life. So last night I sat down and typed up schedules for my kids. I know there will be times where we just cant stick to them. However I know for most days this will be a huge help to keep my family more organized and help my kids have less crazy time. I am sure those of you who have children can relate, If my kids dont have something to do they fight more, whine more and just get bored more. So I hope having our schedules posted really help them out.

Your challenge for today is to type/write out and post in your home a family/child routine to stick to. Keep in mind if you have a child who cant read you may need to use pictures to help show them what they should be doing. Post a comment and let me know what your plan is. Feel free to link to your blog so I can see what you do. GOOD LUCK!

Sports Gear and Snow clothes Organized!

I LOVE having an organized home. The thought of not having an organized home with 4 children, makes me want to scream. With my two older children taking part in many different activities that makes for a lot of sports gear. The fact that I have six people total in my household makes for a lot of gloves, hats, scarves, etc.

When we moved into our house a little over two years ago we were blessed with an ubundance of storage. In My Laundry room/ Temporary office especially. I found a great way to organize all of those items. This system works great for my family but maybe wont work for yours if you just dont have the space. In our old home we used the same clear tubs but they were in the 3 drawer carts that came with them. We had them on the floor of our coat closet. I hope to some day get cuter baskets/bins to put things in but for now these work.

We have a cupboard for all of our sports gear socks, hats, team shirts, chin guards, dance shoes, tights, ect.

We have another cupboard for motocross gear, hats and gloves for guests, work gloves and snow pants.

Across from these cupboards we have three drawers one for mine and my husbands, one for my two daughters and one for my two sons that hold gloves, hats and scarves.

This is our system that works for us. I challenge you to create a system for you this week that works for your family. Post a comment and a link to your blog so I can see what you come up with.

I have been reading a blog that I find very inspiring when it comes to Orgnanizing my life. I have been taking part in her weekly/daily challenges for the past month or two now. I must say my life and my home has been much more organized. Which for those of you who know me is hard to say because I am a very organized person to start with.

I wanted to share this weeks challenge. I feel that this can have a huge impact on my life and hopefully yours too! This weeks challenge was Organizing your finances. you can see all about it at this link abowlfulloflemons.blogspot.com

I wanted to show you that I too have taken this challenge and completed it. I have created a budget (tweeked one I already had), I have been tracking money spent, I have started an envelope system, I have created a budget box, I have created our debt snowball and listened to some great advice from Dave Ramsey and other bloggers.

Imagine your life debt free!
